X-ray images of bony structures can immediately be available for viewing to facilitate same-day diagnosis and treatment plans for lameness issues. Digital radiographs can also be e-mailed to referral centers or attending veterinarians to assist in pre-purchase exams or emergency situations.
An ultrasound exam allows visualization of soft tissue structures such as tendons, ligaments, and bony surfaces. It can also be used for ultrasound-guided joint or tissue-specific injections and visualization of the abdomen and reproductive tract.
A fiber-optic camera is used to visualize the upper airway and gastrointestinal tract to diagnose and assist in the treatment of various conditions.
Laboratory Diagnostic Testing
We use several different laboratories to provide a wide range of tests that can be performed on blood, bodily fluids, and tissue samples. Several tests can be performed at your farm, such as IgG, to determine transfer of passive immunity to a newborn foal or SAA (Serum Amyloid A) evaluation to differentiate inflammatory versus infectious causes of disease.
