Krishawn Clark, D.V.M.

Dr. Krishawn Clark’s veterinary specialties lie in performance horse medicine, dentistry, and mare reproductive services. However, all aspects of horse health care are enjoyable and rewarding for her, as is developing long-lasting relationships with clients and their horses. Dr. Clark was born and raised in North Dakota on a large farm and ranch. Her interest in horses, science, and the outdoors made veterinary medicine a natural fit for her.

Her husband Chad Clark and their boys reside on a hobby farm with their 10 horses and 2 dogs. They have reining and cutting horses that they enjoy showing on the weekends. She spends the rest of her free time with her boys going to soccer and basketball games, marching band performances, and boating in the summertime.

My Family has been using Dr.Clark since 2013 when Falcon, our horse, had a scary trailer accident. Dr. Clark responded within the hour and though we had a slow recovery, our Falcon is 100% now. Since then, we use Dr. Clark for all of our equine vet care. From lameness, colic scares, to allergies, yearly Coggins, and vaccines. We also used Dr. Clark for a pre-purchase exam on Bert, it was so nice to have the digital imaging during the exam, which enabled us to make an informed decision to purchase him. Our equine teammates health is very important to us, I trust her completely.

I have known Dr. Clark for close to 19 years. In those two decades she has been there for every horse I’ve ever owned, and most of the horses I have trained. She has helped me vet new horses, maintained and cared for my competition horses and gracefully helped me say goodbye to cherished family members when it was their time. I feel incredibly lucky to have such a knowledgeable, compassionate, and honest vet caring for my equine family.

I have been using Pleasant Valley Equine for almost 20 years. The old adage, “If the wheel isn’t broken, then don’t fix it” holds true regarding my relationship with Dr. Clark and her clinic.

Being a professional trainer and horsewoman for over 30 years means I have high expectations when it comes to placing the care of my horses in the hands of someone else.

Whether it’s breeding, vaccinations, dentals, emergencies, lameness, surgeries, small animals, or consultations – Dr. Clark has been there for me every single time! She’s gone above and beyond for me time and time again – whether I’m at home, or on the road at a show she’s been there.

Dr. Clark offers a high degree of professionalism, and has an expert staff that are kind, caring and conscience. I can always count on them – they have been there for me at some of the worst of times and have always come through.

Dr. Clark is quite simply one of a kind. She goes above and beyond to make sure all my horses receive the best possible care. From broodmares to show horses she always gives an honest opinion and is nothing short of exceptional. She’s always willing to answer my questions and explain exactly what’s going on. I think the one thing that sets her apart is her compassion. She understands how much time and effort goes into raising horses, and is there for you during the triumphs as well as the heartbreaks.

Dr. Clark has been my vet for almost ten years and has been breeding my mares for going on 5 years. I have nothing but incredible words and gratitude to give her. She is always there to answer questions and give her honest opinion in every situation. If one method doesn’t work, she is always giving other methods that may work and that is what has kept my 23 year old mare still in foal, even when I thought she was done being a broodmare. Dr. Clark has never given up on Daisy, and I see this spring being the same. Dr. Clark’s timing on semen shipments is spot on for every mare she has had of mine. Never once have we missed the perfect ovulation time. She manages everything from my show horse to my broodmares. She is there every step of the way, through foaling and as they grow. Her compassion and support through the most difficult times is what I admire about her the most. I am extremely proud to call her my veterinarian.
